Modifications

September 6th 2009: Have updated the Investigation page with pictures showing an unexplained anomaly -- when Bogle's car was taken to Chatswood Police Station, there was a piece of carpet in the boot. This, despite the carpet covering his body being officially identified as coming from the boot of the same car.
September 1st 2009: Pictures on the Discovery of the bodies page and an extra page to explain about the famous party picture. More to come...
July 26st 2009: A general site update with at least cosmetic changes to every page. The site has now abandoned the use of frames. There are more updates to come, including more pictures.
October 21st 2008: A new page for Ken Buckley.
March 10th 2008: Have reworded the intro page to give more prominence to the hydrogen sulfide theory. This was a long-overdue correction. Having thought about it a lot, it does seem to be the most plausible explanation to date. Have also updated the Who's Who, have adjusted at least slightly most of the already existing pages, and have added pages, though some very brief, for: Detective-Sergeant Alan Clarke, Mr A. D. Collins, Mr Derwent, Graham Richard Digby, Margaret Fowler, Denise Freyberg, Sandy Freyberg, Sergeant Don Goode, Ian Douglas Hewitt, Joy Hewitt, Fleming Jacobson, Bill Jenkings, Beila Johnson, Jack Johnson, Dr John Laing, Mr J. J. Loomes, Vivian Mahoney, Mr McAlpine, Michael William McCormick, Kevin R. Murray, John Harvey N. Niddrie, Bette O'Donnell, Bill O'Donnell, Mrs Sheridan Pausey, June Payten, Warren Payten, Shirley Rudd, Dr G. Vincent Rudd, Victor Stewart Smith, Professor Roland Herbert Thorp, Mr W. D. T. Ward, Dennis Wheway and Senior Constable Frederick Wright
November 5th 2007: Have updated or changed the Footnotes, Speculation, Bibliography, Speculation: Arecoline Hydrobromide, Speculation: LSD, Speculation: Hydrogen Sulfide, Speculation: Others and Speculation: Espionage Agents pages.
October 15th 2006: Put up the start of a page about Geoffrey Chandler and have updated the Bibliography.html, Speculation: Espionage Agents and Speculation pages with a stunning revelation contained in the extras section in the DVD of the documentary Who Killed Dr Bogle & Mrs Chandler: Geoffrey Chandler was both an ASIO informant and a member of the communist party.
October 7th 2006: There's more to come, but I've put up a page to cover the hydrogen sulfide, with consequent changes to the other pages as well.
January 25th 2005: The smallest of changes -- I have renamed the site. It started out as a single page and so calling it "The Bogle and Chandler Page" seemed entirely apt. It long ago became a website, however, so I have changed the name simply to "Bogle & Chandler".
January 16th 2005: There is now a Feedback page. This has several advantages, among them that the email address listed before was inactive. Most importantly, however, it should cut down on spam.
January 14th 2005: The site has been resurrected. Following a dispute with my original ISP the site went down in early 2003. Due to various circumstances it has taken until now to restore.
May 6th 2001: Revamped the Speculation page, by breaking it up into appropriate sub-pages, containing speculation on LSD, Yohimbine Arecoline hydrobromide Other poisons Geoffrey Chandler Margaret Fowler and Espionage Agents. Also updated the Bibliography.
March 3rd 2001: Updated the Home, The Party and Discovery of the bodies pages by introducing new pictures, including pictures of Dr Bogle and Mrs Chandler. Each has a link to a larger version. This precipitated an updating of the site Bibliography.
February 8th 2001: Updated the home page of the site, by rewording the introduction, something that has long needed doing.
February 5th 2001: Updated the Discovery of the Bodies page.
February 4th 2001: The entire site is moved to a new server, and can now be found at http://www.boglechandler.com. The menu now makes use of a transparent gif image. Style sheets have been introduced. The Bibliography has been updated. Draft pages have been added for Commissioner Norman Allen, Sergeant Arthur Stephen Andrews, Mr M. J. N. Atwill and Sergeant Jack Bateman. There are also footnotes, though these are accessed by clicking at the appropriate places. Some cosmetic changes have also been made, with an occasional rewriting of part of a page, or correction of spelling errors.
October 4th 1999: Added the Australian Dictionary of Biography to the Bibliography. The Bibliography at the end of the Dictionary article on Bogle has led to some useful material.
April 20th 1999: Installed a link to my other site, The Beaumont Children Page.
April 1st 1999: Updated the page devoted to Edwin Batiste, with some new biographical information that a person has very kindly provided.
March 10th 1999: Added pages for Kenneth George Challis, Eric McGrath, Edward Harold Batiste, John William Orme, George Colin Batchelor, Maureen Sheila Sutherland and Cecil George Styles. Also updated the At Fullers Bridge page, by creating two new pages, the The Early Hours page, which deals with the Fuller's Bridge area before the discovery of the bodies, and the The Discovery of the Bodies page, which contains the information that was previously contained in the At Fullers Bridge page. The At Fullers Bridge page now contains a brief summary of and links to these other two pages.

October 16th 1998: Updated links.
October 16th 1998: Added link to the Web Wombat Search Engine. Updated the Bibliography, to included mention of an article in the Sydney Morning Herald. This article is unfortunately no longer available online.
October 15th 1998: Changed the URL. The old address, http://www.student.uwa.edu.au/student/fifthman/BogleandChandler.html should still work, but the new address, http://www.student.uwa.edu.au/~fifthman/, should be easier.
