At Fuller's Bridge
On the morning of January 1st, 1963, two youths went hunting for golf
balls near Fuller's Bridge, on the Lane Cove River. They found a body,
later identified as that of Dr Gilbert Bogle, beside a dirt track
running beside the river. When the police arrived, they also discovered
the body of Mrs Margaret Chandler, lying some metres away.
As part of their effort to find out what had caused Bogle and Chandler
to die, police attempted to find witnesses who had seen Dr Bogle and Mrs
Chandler in the area, or anything unusual. Consequently they encouraged
anybody who had been in the area to come forward, so that they could form
a picture of who had done what. From the information of those who did
come forward, a rough chronology of events was created.
