Name:   Nancy Day-Hakker (otherwise known as "Nanna")

Role:   Party Guest

Status:   Unknown, presumed current

Notes:

Mrs Day-Hakker was a party guest at the Chatswood party, arriving separately of and earlier than her husband. Ken Nash and Jack Johnson left the party shortly after midnight in order to pick up Mrs Day-Hakker from Forestville. She arrived at the party at around 12:30am.

Mrs Day-Hakker and her husband made statements to police. However her husband decided on reflection that he had more information to give, and Mrs Day-Hakker phoned the police, on 8th January 1963. Detective Sergeant Henry Parsons visited, and took her husband's statement.

Mrs Day-Hakker was called to the Inquest on 8th May, 1963. Her observation and description of Mrs Chandler is given: "She was holding a glass in her hand and had a glassy look in her eyes. My impression at that moment was that she looked drunk." Mrs Day-Hakker added that Mrs Chandler had stared at her, and she'd felt embarrassed and looked away.
