Denis Wheway was one of the two teenage boys searching for golf balls, who found Dr Bogle's body. He later gave evidence at the inquest.

Later in life he worked for the Campbelltown Council pound.

Interviewed by The Sunday Telegraph in 1996, he indicated that he did not give the case much thought but retained an idle curiosity.
